Dr. Greg Long - DC
Chiropractic & Clinic Director

Dr. Long graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in California in 1997. Dr. Long founded ProActive Health Chiropractic Performance Center in Cochrane in 2002 and has been actively treating the vibrant community since that time.
 
Dr. Long specializes in most types of chiropractic, sports injuries and soft tissue injuries, and is certified in active release techniques (A.R.T.) and Graston Techniques and gets tremendous results. Greg’s interests outside the clinic include skiing, hockey, climbing, camping, mountain biking, yoga, traveling, fitness, food and family.

Dr. Heather Ulrichsen- Bsc DC
Chiropractor, Active Release, Graston Technique & Acupuncture

Dr. Ulrichsen studied Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto following a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Victoria. Heather believes chiropractic care can improve body movement to help you enjoy your activities without pain or limitation. Whether you are dealing with repetitive strain or acute injuries, Heather offers advanced care by creating customized treatment plans to relieve mechanical stress, treat/prevent injury, and optimize your health. She leverages the combination of a variety of techniques in practice, including Contemporary Medical Acupuncture, Active Release Techniques (A.R.T), Graston Technique, shockwave therapy, Kinesiotape, joint manipulation, and rehabilitative exercise. Your treatment plan will be tailored to emphasize your personal goals including pain relief, improved function, or optimized performance. Outside of the clinic Heather enjoys teaching yoga, running, hiking, and being a mom to her two amazing children.

Dr. Michael Caione, DC

Chiropractor, Active Release & Graston Technique 

 

Dr. Caione combines his exercise rehabilitation and soft tissue background from Athletic Therapy with his Chiropractic background to provide his patients with the tools needed to help in the prevention and treatment of their injuries and provide a better quality of life. 

Dr. Caione continues his love of work with athletes of all levels as the Director of Sports Therapy at a strength and conditioning gym in Calgary and has been a Chiropractor with the Canadian Pro Rodeo Sports Medicine Team since 2012. In 2017, Dr. Caione was the therapist with Team Koe at the Canadian Olympic Curling Trials where they won gold. This led to having the opportunity to be part of the Canadian Medical Team at the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea.

Dr. Dylan Bowerman, DC

Chiropractor

Dylan has always been passionate to help those around him. It is this passion combined with his love for sports that led him to complete his Bachelor of Science in exercise science in St. Louis Missouri while on a hockey scholarship. Upon completing his undergraduate degree, Dylan obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic-West Campus in San Jose California in December of 2022 with clinical, philosophical, and academic honors. Moving back to Cochrane to work at ProActive health has been a dream come true for Dylan since he is a long-time patient and believer in the field of chiropractic and has seen the power it has in helping patients achieve their goals and allowing them to live the type of life that they want. Dylan’s treatment philosophy involves implementing a personalized treatment plan that considers the preferences, beliefs and the overall best interest of the patient.  Dylan utilizes a myriad of techniques in soft tissue mobilization, chiropractic adjustment, and rehabilitative exercise to provide the body with the necessary tools to heal effectively. Dylan is also certified in Webster technique which is a chiropractic technique that involves optomizing the perinatal body.

Jackie is a Certified Athletic Therapist & Osteopathic Manual Therapist, having graduated from the Canadian School of Osteopathy, Manual Practice in Vancouver, BC in April 2018. Jackie has worked with various populations including athletes of all levels in hockey, lacrosse, basketball, volleyball, football, wrestling, soccer, golf and dance.


Jackie has incorporated Osteopathic Manual Therapy techniques into her clinical practice over the last several years. Blending the two professions of Athletic Therapy and Osteopathy has allowed Jackie to provide her patients with a thorough assessment and treatment plan, which includes exercise therapy and active rehabilitation. As Osteopathy works to release the tensions which cause dysfunction, Jackie believes healing must continue through movement, exercise and bio-mechanical correction! 


Although working with athletes is her passion, Jackie has a keen interest in working with pregnancy, babies and children.

Dr. Kerri McLean

Doctor of TCM, Registered Acupuncturist, Yoga Instructor

Kerri is a Yoga Teacher, Doula and a Registered Acupuncturist.

 

For 10 years she has studied how breath and movement can become the foundation for healing through the practice of yoga.

Kerri completed her formal education in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Calgary. She loves listening to her patients to create a specialized treatment plan to help them achieve their health and wellness goals. Kerri's passion is blending ancient wisdom with a growing area of knowledge and research. 

 

Kerri is excited and passionate to treat concerns such as health and fertility, symptoms of stress, and digestive disorders.

Dorota Roston

Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)

  

Dorota is a RMT, certified through MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy.  Her skill set includes assessment, deep tissue, myofascial release, joint mibilization, and more.  She will create a treatment plan that is based on your individual needs.  With this client focused approach in mind, Dorota will work with you to address and help alleviate your stress, pain, and discomfort. 

Erin Wilson
Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)
 
Erin has been a Registered Massage Therapist since 2003 and is trained in Deep Tissue Therapeutic Massage, Swedish Relaxation Massage, Prenatal massage and Dynamic Cupping. Erin is extremely passionate about holistic health and believes in massage for both healing and preventive care. If you require prenatal massage, this can be done either side lying or face down on a pregnancy body cushion to support you and your baby. Erin is a wife and a mother to three beautiful children, and has lived in Cochrane since 2005. In her spare time she loves to run, swim, sing, and travel with her family.

Amanda Staples

Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)

  

Amanda is a graduate of Vicars School of Massage Therapy and her philosophy is simple: Human First. This means that she will treat you based on your needs at the time of your appointment, nothing is ever routine! She believes in an approach that is nervous system based and specializes in therapeutic, deep tissue, injury management and sports massage.

Amanda is certified in myofascial cupping, IASTM, Rapid NFR (specialist), post concussion syndrome, relaxation techniques and offers education, movement and laughter in her treatments.

Outside of work Amanda loves martial arts, hiking + paddle boarding adventures, camping and spending time with her dogs + family.

Sarah Basso

Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)

  

Sarah graduated from MH Vicars Massage Therapy School in June 2018 and is passionate about sharing her skill with the community.  You can find Sarah out walking her cute puppy, hanging out in the mountains or spending time with her children.  She prides herself on great service and effective treatments.  You can trust she will always have a smile and genuine interest in your well-being.

Elyse Wolski

Elyse Wolski is an accomplished Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) who graduated from the Makami College 3000hr program in 2018. With 6 years of experience, Elyse is dedicated to promoting healing through a range of massage techniques, including Deep Tissue, Relaxation, Therapeutic, Sports, and Prenatal.

Her unique approach involves thorough assessments coupled with personalized massages, creating proactive and therapeutic treatments for her clients. Beyond her professional pursuits, Elyse enjoys the outdoors with hikes and bicycling, as well as expressing her creativity through painting. Elyse is passionate about enhancing well-being and is committed to providing a rejuvenating experience for those seeking balance and relaxation.

Shannon Bestwick
Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)

Shannon graduated from CDI College with 1210 hours and Foothills College of Massage and Hydrotherapy with 2200 hours. Shannon specializes in trigger point therapy, relaxation, fascial technique, dynamic cupping and deep tissue massage. Shannon grew up competing in international horse shows and continues to enjoy riding and attempting water sports.

Kara Clifton

Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)

Kara is a graduate from MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy and began as an RMT at ProActive Health in June 2018. Prior to that she worked as a receptionist at the front desk for nearly 5 years. Seeing the benefits that come from the treatments at ProActive first hand is what fuelled Kara's passion to become a massage therapist.  

 

Most of her spare time is spent adventuring around with her two beautiful girls.

Tanya West

Clinic Manager

  

Tanya has a passion for helping people, is hard working, organized and dedicated to keeping our office running smoothly. Tanya was born and raised in Kitchener, Ontario and moved to Cochrane in 2014. She spent many years as a stay at home mom while running a home based day care. Once settled into Cochrane she decided it was time for change and went to Bow Valley College where she received her Medical Office Assistant certificate in 2017. Tanya is mother to 2 daughters and 2 sons. Outside of work she is a busy hockey & ringette mom.
